MAJOR INTERFACES

Tarot meets technology. Archetypes meet interfaces. Design meets alchemy.

Major Interfaces is my ongoing blog where I use the Tarot’s Major Arcana as a lens to reflect on UX, AI, and the ever-shifting design world. Each post takes a card — from The Fool to The World — and reimagines it as a modern design archetype. Some cards become metaphors for AI disruption. Others become lessons in care, intuition, or resilience. All of them are about making sense of a design industry that feels both timeless and totally in flux.

This series is part memoir, part thought leadership, and part love letter to the weirdness of being a queer designer in the age of AI. It’s where I unpack how Tarot’s archetypes can teach us about starting over after a layoff, wielding new tools like AI, reclaiming joy in UX, and remembering to trust our intuition.

The name is a reminder: the interfaces we design are our modern-day archetypes. They shape behavior, encode values, and tell stories about who belongs. By bringing The Tarot and UX together, I want to explore not just how we design products — but how products design us.
